Word ladders are an awesome way to practice phonemic awareness, decoding & blending at the same time! 💪 To use them, students will read a chain of words that change by just one letter as they move up each rung. Depending on students’ ability, you can focus on: 1️⃣ Beginning sounds 2️⃣ Ending sounds 3️⃣ Middle vowels 👉 I know it can be hard to think of word chains when you’re in the middle of teaching so I’ll be passing along plenty of lists you can print off and use right away inside my 5-day
