This hawksbill turtle was spotted at East Coast Park on Monday (Jun. 22), at about 5pm, attempting to nest in the sand. By 7pm, the turtle had swum back into the sea without laying its eggs. Hawksbill turtles are one of 2 sea turtle species that can be found in Singapore. Their nesting season usually occurs between May and October. #mothershipenvironment
